Held on August 28, 2022, in São Paulo: a tameshiwari (breaking) course taught by Shihans Ricardo Granado and Jeferson Maran at Dojo Cidade Ademar, with the participation of more than 80 students, teachers and directors of the organization.
The course sought to teach the world-renowned techniques that are a trademark of our Master Kancho Ademir da Costa, who stood out not only for his great fights, but also for his incredible and remarkable strength in breaking ice (his specialty) and other objects.
In addition to teaching the breaking techniques step by step, a video was shown recalling great demonstrations by Kancho Ademir da Costa that highlight his ability to break different materials such as ice, baseball bats, stones, blocks, etc., always recalling, as taught by the master, the importance of conditioning.
Good execution of Tameshiwari requires the deepest concentration, courage and inner strength, all working harmoniously together to achieve the proposed goal.
Seeing that practitioners today are not giving breaking the importance it deserves, Kancho Ademir da Costa planned and structured a course together with his teachers to recover these techniques and pass them on to new generations.
Everyone present left thrilled with the course, which, due to its great repercussion, will become a permanent part of Seiwakai's annual calendar in Brazil.
