Seiwakai News !!

The months of October and November were especially remarkable for all of Seiwakai.

Our Master arrived in Brazil in October for a series of commitments, championships, interviews, important meetings and various training sessions.

Below, one of the main events:
On 10/26/2025, the Seiwakai National Karate Championship was held, an event that once again amazed everyone with the details that make it so unique and special. From the athletes' entrance to the sound of the Himawari Taiko Group, which has already become a trademark, we experienced moments of great emotion and meaningful tributes.

The opening continued with speeches by the authorities and, above all, with the words of the founding Master of Seiwakai Combat Karate, Kancho Ademir da Costa. Kancho deeply inspires us when he recalls how it all began at Seiwakai and highlights great athletes who emerged in championships like this one, fueling our competitors with his energy and making the event even more dynamic and powerful.

There was also the presentation of promotions to the Shihans of Brazil and Uruguay: promoted to 4th Dan were Shihan Jurandy da Costa e Silva, technical director of Seiwakai Kickboxing, and Shihan Edson Ferreira, president of the International Combat Karate Organization Seiwakai; to 5th Dan, Shihan Jeferson Maran da Cruz, technical director and Branch Chief of Seiwakai Brazil, and Shihan Gerardo Rojas, technical director and Branch Chief of Seiwakai Uruguay; and to 6th Dan, Shihan Ricardo Granado, technical director and Branch Chief of Seiwakai Brazil. These promotions demonstrate the growth and recognition of the work carried out in the eyes of our Master, Kancho Ademir da Costa, and the strengthening of the Seiwakai organizations in both countries.

The tournament had international participation from athletes and officials of the delegations from Uruguay and Kuwait. The athlete Candela Pocareli, in the cadet category (Uruguay), took 2nd place after a hard-fought bout with her opponent, while the athlete Eissa Al Duhaim (Kuwait) became champion, fighting bravely against his opponents and deservedly earning his placing. We congratulate these international representatives on their courage and excellent performance.

At this event, which served as a qualifier for the WKO World Championship in Thailand in August 2026, the athletes Roger Walter and Sammuel Terto won the long-dreamed-of spot after hard-fought qualifying bouts. Congratulations to the athletes.

The bouts, from the youth categories, starting with the Mini athletes, up to the Open, featured fights of a high technical, physical and mental level, establishing the event as an example of organization and quality, a standard already recognized in the championships promoted by Seiwakai.

The tournament drew an audience of more than 1,000 people and was, once again, warmly welcomed by the coordination and board of Clube Pelezão.

At the end, our Master congratulated everyone and thanked each person who contributed to making this event happen and conclude with great success. We hope all the athletes will keep our Master's words in mind and always train harder, outdoing themselves in every training session, year after year, improving more and more in the next events.
